Overview

The Digital Content Specialist identifies, analyzes, designs, develops, and manages the digital support content for delivery to both internal and external customers and implementation projects as defined by the GTM Leads. The Digital Content Specialist also creates alerts, walk-throughs, and ads through “Walk Me” or similar tools. This is a remote contract position (short-term assignment of 90 days or fewer).

Base pay range
$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr

What you will be doing

  • Develop and design innovative content that educates and supports internal and external customers on all digital release items and projects in a timely manner.
  • Content to be created includes job aids, virtual Knowledge Base documentation, videos, walk-throughs, alerts, and other items identified by the Go To Market (GTM) team.
  • Gather and analyze technical and product information from sources such as product demonstrations, SMEs, videos, walk-throughs, interviews, emails, and more to create content for new or changing functionality.
  • Manage content projects effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Proactively escalate issues, roadblocks, and scope changes; actively problem-solve and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Work with SMEs and other internal groups to develop and maintain content that meets established quality metrics.
  • Practice established content development and maintenance practices as set forth by the GTM Team.
  • Create, format, edit, review, and proof content for technical and nontechnical users.
  • Maintain the library of content and catalog it for internal and/or external use in both the Walk Me system and Knowledge Base.
  • Stay up to date with new ideas to draw audiences’ attention.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in content development and editing for a digital organization with relevant examples.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively to customers, technical staff, managers, executives, and sales/marketing teams.
  • Information gathering: understanding, analysis, design, verification, and management practices; apply information-gathering techniques.
  • Synthesis/reorganization: restructure information for better problem-solving and task execution.
  • Analytical: evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and present complex information clearly for the audience.
  • Interviewing and questioning: engage individuals and groups to determine needs and gather pertinent content.
  • Active listening: use techniques to gather deeper information.
  • Active learning: quickly grasp implications and connections in a changing environment.
