Overview

Photojournalist/Editor role at Wisconsin Broadcasters Assn. Local 5 has an immediate opening for a part-time Photographer/Editor on its award-winning staff. We are looking for a self-motivated, creative storyteller with strong editing skills. WFRV shoots using Sony PXWX400 and edits on Adobe Premiere Pro.

Responsibilities

• Capture photojournalism footage and edit video for news segments.
• Collaborate with reporters and producers to tell compelling stories.

Qualifications

• Experience: Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience.
• Licenses: Applicant must have a current, valid driver’s license.
• Physical/Other: Ability to carry up to 40 pounds; good driving record; knowledge of libel laws.

Education

• College degree or associated degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Computer literacy a plus.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Must be able to carry heavy equipment.
• Able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.

• Work schedule includes early mornings and weekends, as well as on-call status as determined by management.
