Summary
ATS is seeking NAS-410 RT Level II Film Readers for a contract assignment in Hampton, VA. The assignment is expected to last 3-4 months and includes per diem (7 days/week), rental car for the duration of the assignment. Airfare is provided at start and successful completion of the assignment. Competitive pay; benefits are not specified.
Responsibilities
- Perform NAS-410 RT Level II film reading/interpretation of manufactured parts (castings) in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified; exercise responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees.
- Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities to meet customer expectations.
- Prepare written instructions and organize/report the results of examinations.
- Work independently and support team members; perform other job-related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Level II RT (NAS-410) PAUT Technician – Meet the minimum requirements of a Level II RT Technician with NAS-410; provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method; have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; ability to effectively communicate with other departments and customers to report issues and solve problems.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department.
- Work in a fast-paced, off-site, production environment.
- Work with radiation and hazardous materials (e.g., cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals).
- Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
