Location

Position located in Brookings, South Dakota in our High School Parks and Rec department.

Schedule

4/10s Schedule, primary hours 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed.

What the Work Looks Like

  • Train to produce graphics and/or text for sponsors to be placed on various displays.
  • Produce customer vinyl graphics which may include cutting, laminating, cleaning, or visually appealing application.
  • Apply vinyl to aluminum panels.
  • Box finished products for shipment as needed.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams) and other software.
  • Maintain attention to detail of spelling, colors, and logos.
  • Develop ways to improve process efficiency.
  • Operate automated equipment for construction of scoreboards and/or video displays as trained.
  • Read work instructions and technical drawings; safely operate hand tools and participate with your team.
  • Learn products, systems, and processes; produce safely, accurately, and timely.
  • Be flexible to work in other departments as needed and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to meet customer needs.

Pay and Perks

The typical starting pay for this position is $19.00 per hour based on Brookings, SD location. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including education, experience, location, and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Overtime availability when shifts are scheduled.
  • Regular attendance and ability to work scheduled hours.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and participate as a team member.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Wear required PPE per Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards (safety glasses, shoes/boots, hearing protection, ESD wear). PPE provided for required areas.
  • Physical requirements: capable of working in environments with paint/solvent/solder smells; frequently lift 35 lbs, occasionally to frequently lift 45 lbs; stand for extended periods; work from heights; reach in multiple directions; maintain hand/eye coordination; identify wire and paint colors; read fine print.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); applicants must be 18+; Daktronics does not sponsor immigration visas for this position.
