Overview

Weber Shandwick is looking for a Manager, Influencer Strategy to join our team in Central across one of our key locations (Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Dallas). We are seeking a candidate with 3+ years of experience who understands the influencer landscape and has experience developing and executing integrated and influencer-led campaigns.

The Essentials

  • Storytelling: Understand what makes a story exciting, what brands are doing in the press and on social platforms, and what they should do next.
  • Communication: Speak, write and edit succinctly and compellingly.
  • Management: Meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and adapt quickly.
  • Interpersonal: Collaborate effectively within a team or independently.
  • Technical: Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Experience with influencer databases/management systems and social listening/tracking tools is a plus.
  • Detail-Oriented: Deliver clear and precise work in influencer recommendations and recap reports.
  • Spark: Understand what sets you apart.
  • Knowledge: Strong cultural awareness and expertise in social platforms, trends, influencers, and best practices for engagement.
  • Measurement and Analytics: Track and report influencer performance against campaign KPIs, translate results into insights, and highlight optimizations.

Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Execution

  • Own day-to-day execution of multiple client programs, budgets, and plans.
  • Support and elevate daily client contact, acting as a trusted resource and advisor.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure flow and alignment on deliverables.
  • Translate tactical assignments into clear action steps and track progress against strategy.
  • Draft messaging and support influencer strategy development with research and ideas.
  • Suggest improvements to exceed client expectations by leveraging industry knowledge.
  • Anticipate executional issues and offer solutions to senior leadership.
  • Partner with CX and Project Manager counterparts to help manage program and project budgets.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen in budgeting, billing, and staffing; track hours, expenses, and codes; support staffing allocations.
  • Leverage agency tools for influencer identification, contracts, and measurement; ensure consistency in use.
  • Demonstrated passion for influencer marketing and balance interest in consumer brands.
  • Contribute to influencer strategies with research, benchmarking, and tactical recommendations.
  • Research, vet, contract and manage influencer relationships; draft influencer briefs for internal and client review.
  • Oversee influencer briefings and content creation; monitor content performance and prepare detailed recaps.
  • Execute influencer strategies to completion under senior guidance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in social platforms and emerging trends.

Client & Team Engagement

  • Handle daily client communications and provide updates; seek senior guidance on strategic counsel.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations on defined workstreams.
  • Draft, proof, and edit client-related documents; ensure accuracy before senior review.
  • Manage resources and deliverables around major campaigns and product launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of social media experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • Experience with healthcare/pharmaceutical clients is a plus

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $67,000 – $80,000 (location dependent). Benefits include Medical, Vision, 401k (with employer match), Tuition Reimbursement, Juice Money, Short-Term Disability, Paid Employee Family Leave, and Family Building Benefit.
