Overview
Electronic Resources & Library Systems Manager at Lincoln Land Community College. This role provides strategic leadership and technical expertise in managing the library's electronic resources, authentication systems, discovery platforms, and systems integrations to ensure reliable access to digital content and support for teaching, learning, and equitable information access. The Manager serves as the primary liaison between the library, external vendors, IT, and consortial partners to maintain and enhance resource delivery and system performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve the systems behind digital access and discovery.
- Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in managing electronic resources, authentication systems, discovery platforms, and system integrations.
- Ensure reliable access to digital content and support institutional goals related to teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with IT, external vendors, and consortial partners to maintain and enhance resource delivery and system performance.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications
- ALA-accredited Master of Library and Information Science degree
- Familiarity with and/or knowledge of managing library systems and electronic resources
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment
- Enthusiasm, collegiality and excellent communication skills with a strong student-centered approach
- Preferred Qualifications
- Academic library work experience (pre- or concurrent with degree work accepted)
- Knowledge of integrated library systems and discovery platforms, particularly Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE, including configuration, customization, and analytics reporting
- Demonstrated experience with maintaining authentication and access systems such as OpenAthens and EZproxy
- Vendor relationship management, including license negotiation, platform configuration, and usage analytics
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, LibApps/Springshare tools)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving complex access issues across multiple platforms
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills with IT, consortia, and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with publishing and access models including open access, traditional publishing, streaming media, document delivery, and interlibrary loan

Compensation
Starting salary is likely to be between $64,946 and $86,943 per year with an excellent benefits package. Placement within this range based on education, training, experience, and skills.
