AP English Literature and Composition Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online tutors nationally. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Tutor remotely in AP English Literature and Composition via the Live Learning Platform.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Get paired with students who match your teaching style and expertise.
• Use the platform’s tools to deliver engaging, effective instruction.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments.

Compensation and How It Works

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40/hour with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.
