Overview

AP English Literature and Composition Tutor – Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. Base pay range $18.00/hr - $40.00/hr. Tutors set their own schedule and work from home.

Responsibilities

• Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform.
• Match with students and tailor lessons to individual learning styles.
• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring and on-demand tutoring as available.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions and manage payments with Varsity Tutors.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Experience tutoring or teaching and graduate-level education preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour; rates increase for specialized subjects, up to $40/hour with a same-student session history.
• Get paid up to twice per week.
• Set your own hours; tutor as much as you’d like.
• AI-powered Tutor Copilot supports sessions with real-time assistance and lesson generation.
