Description

This Video/Multimedia Specialist provides creative services, video production (including videography and video editing), portrait photography, and multimedia support for the law firm and its affiliates. Primary focus is on video and multimedia production with additional responsibilities providing graphic design, communications, and other tactical support to the Marketing and Business Development department.

Essential Functions

  • Under the direction of the Creative Director and while maintaining brand standards, produce a broad range of video and multimedia content, including law firm promotional videos (general branding, practice groups, industry groups and niche areas of expertise); webinar and seminar production/content; instructional videos; videos that highlight, recap, and promote various endeavors and events; internal video projects; and other special video projects. Video production includes videography (with in-house cameras, lighting and audio equipment); video editing; improving video and sound quality of video footage; utilization of graphics, motion graphics, b‑roll footage (custom-shot and/or stock videos and photos), background music, and other elements as appropriate.
  • Work with Creative Director, copywriter(s) and related attorneys and/or staff to determine objectives, to concept the look and message, and to produce final product.
  • Ensure final graphics, layouts, and general look of video content are visually appealing, on-brand, and reflective of the firm’s professionalism and reputation.
  • Appropriately format/encode videos and facilitate distribution to Vimeo, YouTube, firm social media channels, firm website, JurisIQ LMS website, and/or other outside entities as needed.
  • Provide ongoing in-house portrait photography for new hires and retakes of current attorneys and staff; portrait touch-ups and color correction; portrait formatting for various use-cases and adhering to the present standards for firm portraits.
  • Create infographics and presentation materials to simplify communication of complex concepts and data.
  • Keep current with the latest trends in this industry, this market (and competitors), and evolving video production best practices to ensure content is relevant and timely.
  • Provide technical support for design- and video-related efforts.
  • Provide support for online content management of firm websites and intranet.
  • Provide support for email alerts, newsletters, and event communications.
  • Assist with the firm’s social media efforts.
  • Prepare and provide files for video production as well as digital and online usage.
  • Assist with a variety of special projects, as assigned, to help support the Marketing and Business Development team.

Skills & Abilities

Education: Bachelor’s degree in film/video production, graphic design, journalism or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience: Minimum 3 years related professional experience in a video production environment required.

Computer Skills: Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and InDesign), and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Work Environment

Role: Work environment is in a professional office setting. The majority of activity this role performs will be sedentary work and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Regular lifting of medium to heavy equipment for videography, photography, lighting, etc., as well as other equipment or supplies as needed
  • Occasional driving – to Tulsa office, vendor facilities, or event locations, as needed.
  • Occasional overnight stays for firm-sponsored events.
  • Occasional standing for long periods of a time at firm events.
