Overview

The Varsity Tutors platform connects qualified tutors with students for virtual, one-on-one instruction in music.

Responsibilities

• Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform; deliver personalized, engaging, and effective online music instruction.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Match with students whose learning style and goals align with your expertise.
• Use available instructional tools to support teaching, including AI-assisted features that help with lesson planning and student engagement.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Music and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation and Schedule

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour.
• Get paid up to twice per week for completed sessions.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Remote tutoring with no commuting required.
• We handle the logistics—you invoice for your tutoring sessions, and we process payments.
