Music and Performing Arts Teachers at Chesterbrook Academy play a key role in enriching students’ academic journey by fostering a love of music and the performing arts. Working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade, you will create and implement a vibrant arts curriculum that includes vocal and instrumental music, movement, drama, and performance. Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $58,000.00/yr

About The Role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in general music, vocal/instrumental instruction, and performing arts tailored to developmental stages
  • Organize school-wide performances, showcases, and community events that highlight student growth and achievement
  • Collaborate with teachers across grade levels to integrate performing arts with other areas of the curriculum
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and the school community to support student development
  • Maintain classroom environments and resources that are safe, inclusive, and supportive of artistic expression

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Performing Arts, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching music and/or theater in a PK–8 or K–12 school setting
  • Ability to direct musical ensembles, choirs, or theatrical productions
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills; flexibility, creativity, and a passion for working with young learners
  • Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check
