The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with students for online Music tutoring nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Pay and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; you’ll earn higher pay for each session with the same student, up to $40/hour.
• Get paid up to twice per week, providing fast and reliable compensation for tutoring sessions you conduct.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Our AI-powered Tutor Copilot enhances sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to help save prep time.
• We handle the logistics—you invoice for your tutoring sessions and we take care of payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Music and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
