Overview

St. John Baptist de la Salle School is seeking a dynamic Music teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Working collaboratively with the school administrators and the faculty, the music teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering liturgical and religious events for the school.

Liturgical and Religious Responsibilities

  • Friday Masses
  • Student Council Installation Mass
  • Christmas pageant
  • Stations of the Cross
  • May Crowning
  • Baccalaureate Mass
  • graduation
  • kinder celebration
  • prayer services
  • faculty and student retreats

Flexible Schedule

Approxiately 20-25 hours per week; the schedule can be discussed with the principal.

General Expectations

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
  • Creating, engaging, and supporting an effective Catholic environment where students feel safe and cared for.
  • Demonstrate skills and attitude to successfully work with early childhood, primary, and secondary grade students.
  • Be a team player with colleagues and staff.
  • Organize one concert
  • Understand and organize subject matter for student learning.
  • Well-organized, highly energetic, and responsible
  • Willingness to collaborate with parents / families.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and administration regularly to share plans, projects, and information.
  • Other Responsibilities as designated by the principal

Requirements

  • Criminal justice fingerprint clearance, VIRTUS (provided)
  • Experience : Previous instructional experience preferred but not required

Skills / Knowledge

  • Displays the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Exhibits knowledge of school operations

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
