Target location: Houston, TX. The position is a fill-in role with no guaranteed hours.

Job Summary

The On-Air Talent (Fill In) will report directly to the Assistant Program Director and serve as a member of the Programming Department. You will connect with listeners in a real tangible way, localize your fill-in show, integrate weekly liners into the show, utilize the scheduled music to create connection points, ensure breaks are in the schedule, and ensure all on-air elements during the fill show are correct and tightly segued. Responsibilities

• Fill in for various on-air shows as needed (primarily weekends, evenings, and holidays).
• Accurate board work.
• Adequately respond to a variety of issues that listeners may present.
• Other duties as assigned.

Demonstrated Faith / Qualifications

• Pray for coworkers in team meetings or with donors/listeners as needed.
• Participate in Support Drives as needed.
• Participate in ministry-wide Christian Bible studies.
• Attend weekly Hope Huddle and team meetings for prayer and devotions.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the organization.

Requirements And Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• Minimum 1 year on-air experience.
• Working knowledge of Zetta, VoxPro and Adobe Audition preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Creative and enthusiastic, team player.
• Strong grammatical usage and style.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid computer skills.
• Knowledgeable and demonstrates understanding of KSBJ's audience and the Christian culture at large.
• Must be a Christian with a strong, demonstrated commitment to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.
• Heart for Christian ministry; ability to offer Christian prayer.
• Genuine concern for all people and capacity to relate with all people in a sensitive, respectful way.
• Strong moral character; spiritually grounded with working knowledge of scripture.
• Must be an active member of a Bible-believing local church.
