Principal Product Manager, Publishing & Live Ops – US-based role supporting a high-profile mobile game project within the Slate Development Group.

Location: Culver City, United States. Scopely is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Publishing & Live Ops to join the Slate Development Group and contribute to the launch and ongoing success of one of Scopely’s ambitious new titles.

As a member of the Slate Development Group, you’ll help shape our strategic editorial, greenlighting, and platform development frameworks to support the game’s success in the western markets.

What You’ll Do

As a Principal Product Manager, Publishing & Live Ops, you will play a critical role in the game’s success in the west. Your core focus will be defining and driving publishing strategy to ensure the game meets internal and market expectations in major western regions.

  • Benchmarking & Market Insights: Continuously track market trends, target audience behavior, and competitor benchmarks in the major western regions. Translate findings into actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Publishing: Plan and drive the game’s roadmap from development to launch from a product standpoint.
  • Live Ops: Leverage Scopely’s LiveOps strengths by developing and adapting scalable systems tailored to the game. Establish robust pre-launch plans to support a strong and sustainable live phase.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Communicate and align work across disciplines. Ensure alignment among the development team, marketing, UA, community, and other stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong insights about western mobile midcore games.
  • 8+ years of experience in western publishing and live ops product roles.
  • Experience with at least one successful mobile midcore launch in major western markets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bilingual fluency in working environments.
  • Passion for data-informed decision-making and strategic thinking.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working across both Chinese and Western game development cultures.
  • End-to-end product ownership experience from development through LiveOps.

Compensation details (for CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA): the annual salary range is provided below, with potential eligibility for equity, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$169,600 - $250,000 USD
