Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm

Salary: $19–$21 per hour

Overview

Become part of the world standard in electronics technology remanufacturing as a Two-Way Radio Electronics Technician. This role diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs communications equipment including two-way radios, dispatch consoles, trunked systems, paging, and LMR networks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and other wireless communications systems down to component level at a repair bench.
• Replace or repair faulty components, including circuit boards, batteries, and antennas.
• Solder small SMT (Surface Mount Components).
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams to perform accurate diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform software updates.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Education And/or Experience: High school diploma or GED. A two-year degree or training in electronic technology or equivalent experience is preferred. Practical experience through internships, apprenticeships, or entry-level positions in radio technology desired. CET certification is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of RF principles, signal propagation; knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and systems used in radio communications; proficient in diagnosing and repairing radio equipment issues.
• Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational and communication skills; basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic mathematical concepts; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability and desire to learn new skills; detail oriented; able to work independently and with a team; prioritization of duties.

Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this role, based out of Syracuse, NY, is $19.00–$21.00 per hour. Actual salary varies based on experience, skills, location, and organizational needs.
