Studio Manager – BIM Services (USA East Region)

Role description

Arcadis is seeking a Studio Manager – BIM Services to join its growing team and manage a regional team across the USA East Region. The candidate will lead BIM Coordinators and collaborate with Architecture + Urbanism (A+U), Civil, Structural, and MEP teams in all A+U projects. You will foster cross-sector synergy between Places, Mobility, and Resilience, enable global work-sharing, drive standardization and optimization, and support cross-sector collaboration and data utilization throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a motivated, dynamic, and proactive individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively convey and reinforce/amplify messaging from Global Services, Division Services and Leadership to the regional team.
  • Oversee/manage large-scale projects and large project teams.
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines, applying BIM solutions to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with aligned Arcadis Global resources and ensure local staff work effectively with Global Design colleagues.
  • Connect with business unit directors to ensure the region's practices align with the services.
  • Manage the BIM workload, including subcontractors, ensuring proper allocation and full utilization of resources; ensure staff meet or exceed utilization targets.
  • Manage BIM deliverables' production and quality assurance to meet or exceed client expectations, align with Arcadis requirements, and comply with Standards.
  • Develop work strategies and BIM Services team staffing requirements during the project pursuit stage.
  • Provide technical advice to team members to support project delivery and professional development.
  • Collaborate with all design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution.
  • Review BIM models with the project team, clients, and consultants and implement required changes.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients and their representatives.
  • Develop and coordinate BIM Protocols and Execution Plans for projects; ensure each project has a clearly defined BIM/Project Execution Plan and promote its implementation.
  • Oversee monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of model performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in a BIM technology support role in the Architecture and Engineering field, including production and coordination.
  • Certified in ISO 19650 Information Management or equivalent.
  • Professional BIM Certification.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650, COBie).
  • Proficient with Autodesk Revit across all disciplines.
  • Familiarity with interoperability between Autodesk Revit and other discipline-specific software programs, with an understanding of BIM for Building, Civil and Plant.
  • Experienced in 3D design, multi-discipline coordination, managing models and facilitating data exchange.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate in team-based environments and teach others about BIM best practices.
  • Proven team leadership abilities to guide a BIM team through design and production processes.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills for managing fast-paced projects.
  • Skilled at interacting with external entities (clients, owners, and agencies) to develop, interpret, and meet BIM or CAD delivery requirements.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is US$100,576 - $165,951. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
