Director, Technical Revenue Accounting at VideoAmp — USA (Remote).

Role & Responsibilities
Location: USA (Remote)
- Own and optimize revenue recognition processes for complex, custom deals in a high-growth environment.
- Lead the revenue recognition process and ensure compliance with ASC 606.
- Drive the monthly revenue close, coordinate with Sales, and prepare/review reserves, deferred revenue schedules, and account reconciliations.
- Provide coaching and oversight to the revenue accounting team.
- Review contracts and deal structures to assess accounting implications and standardize revenue recognition where appropriate.
- Support audits as the primary point of contact for revenue-related matters and ensure GAAP-compliant interpretations.
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Sales, Finance, and leadership to review contracts, model revenue, and assess revenue implications of pricing, products, and terms.
- Contribute to process improvements, system reviews, and the Salesforce implementation to support scalable revenue processes.
- Identify data, controls, or process gaps and propose scalable solutions; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
About You (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
- Subject matter expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition; background in AdTech, SaaS, or technology with custom contracts preferred.
- Hands-on experience with revenue close processes, contract review, and reconciliations.
- Experience with audits, technical accounting memos, and compliance reporting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to influence stakeholders across Finance, RevOps, and Sales.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This position pays between $140,000 - $170,000 + Equity + Benefits. The actual offer will depend on qualifications and experience.
