We are looking for a Senior UX Designer who will lead user research, interaction design, information architecture, and usability testing. You will define and deliver end-to-end user journeys that meet user needs and drive business outcomes, collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and other UX designers, and own a critical business vertical with high visibility and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other designers to generate personas, mental models, and research artifacts to deeply understand user goals and behaviors in a complex enterprise domain.
  • Define and develop key workflows, interaction models, wireframes, and prototypes, communicating them effectively in an agile environment.
  • Ensure design consistency with the product and Cohesity brand by working closely with visual designers.
  • Participate in usability testing and use feedback to refine and improve designs.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure the implemented code aligns with the design.
  • Document and maintain designs, UI specifications, and guidelines.
  • Communicate insights and design rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support ongoing feedback loops, cross-functional remote collaboration, and rapid prototype validation.
  • Demonstrate strong planning, organization, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing and successfully bringing to market complex enterprise applications that are user-friendly and productive.
  • BA/BS degree (or higher) in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of interaction design methodologies and UI design principles.
  • Experience practicing user-centered design in an Agile software development environment is preferred.
  • Direct work experience in Security, AI, Reporting, Data Visualization, Storage, Data Protection, or Virtualization fields.
  • Impressive design portfolio showing the full range of design artifacts from research to finished products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate actively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of projects.

Pay, Benefits, and Equal Opportunity

Disclosure pursuant to applicable state equal pay transparency laws. This position has a starting pay range of $195,200.00-$244,000.00, with actual salary dependent on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The role may be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Full-time employees are eligible for Cohesity’s benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and other benefits.

Locations and Preferences

In-office expectations: Cohesity employees are within a reasonable commute (e.g., 45-minute average travel time) and work 2-3 days per week at core offices. Candidates outside designated areas may apply if they have the right to work at the location.
