Overview

Position: Assembly B / Manufacturing Visual Inspector (FOS) at L3Harris Technologies. Location: Cincinnati, OH. Schedule: 4/10.

Job Description

Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, including skilled hand work or using automated production equipment. Read and interpret technical specifications, terms and documents. Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments to hold tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Functions

• Read and understand the description of manufacture (DM, DOM) for operation assembly instruction.
• Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools.
• Operate various types of assembly equipment (assembly machines, press stakes, air screw drivers, etc.) with proper training.
• Visually inspect components and subassemblies for defects prior to, during, and after assembly.
• Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DM specifications.
• Maintain assembly/quality records and paperwork as required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associates degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• J-STD-001 experience.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Based on site requirements, must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience reading blueprints.
• Experience using magnification instruments.
