Volunteer: Wordpress Web Developer (Work From Home)
Free For Charity is seeking developers to work with small charities to build websites using WordPress and the Divi theme. The role may include developing plugins to help nonprofits link their websites to other services and products used to run their organizations.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain WordPress websites for nonprofit clients using the Divi theme.
- Develop plugins to integrate charity websites with other services and products used by the organizations.
- Collaborate with staff or board members of supported nonprofits via phone or email, and manage assignments in Microsoft Teams.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with project stakeholders; ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
- Submit any custom development work (custom themes, plugins, or other code) to GitHub for review and version control.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimal supervision.
- Experience with WordPress development and the Divi theme.
- Ability to communicate with nonprofit staff or board members (phone or email).
- Familiarity with GitHub for code submission.
- Willingness to use Free For Charity sources for premium plugins or themes; other themes may be recommended and will be considered.
- Engagement in telecommuting and information technology training initiatives as part of Free For Charity’s mission.

Requirements
- This position is worked from home. Most assignments are managed in Microsoft Teams, with phone and email communication as needed.

- Any premium plugins or themes must come from Free For Charity’s sources; other themes may be recommended and will be considered.
