Pay Range: $38.00/hour to $42.85/hour. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Systems Technical Writer for a contract job with a client in Grand Rapids, MI. This role supports documentation efforts tied to AS9100/AS9110 Business Management Systems across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality domains.

Quality Systems Technical Writer job responsibilities include:

• Develop and write systemic documentation aligned with AS9100/AS9110 standards
• Edit and analyze content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
• Partner with process owners to produce high-quality process documentation
• Apply process mapping concepts, including Process Turtles
• Manage documentation across diverse technical functions
• Review and proofread for grammar, structure, and compliance
• Translate complex technical language into accessible content

Desired Qualifications:

• Three years in a Technical Writer role with experience in Quality Systems
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities
• Experience revising Quality Management System documentation
• Comfortable conducting SME interviews and collaborating across teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Visio)
