Service Writer Job at Tractor & Equipment Co. in Williston

About This Position

Our Service Writer position located in Williston, ND is responsible for managing the administrative areas of our work orders and is an important role within our Service Department. This role works closely with our Service Supervisors to ensure the work orders are accurate, complete and filed timely. The service writer updates work order data and associated service hours by regularly entering data on Cat software and time cards. This position will also assist with other administrative work, running and creating reports. The service writer will help answer incoming phone calls and assist customers. A quick yet friendly approach is essential, with accuracy and attention to detail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative areas of work orders; ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely filing
• Enter data on Cat software and time cards; update work order data and service hours
• Assist with administrative tasks, including running and creating reports
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers

Qualifications & Experience Needed

• 2-3 years of service office experience preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Disciplined ability to work with limited supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment
