Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to middle school writing students.
• Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Instruct using the Live Learning Platform and leverage tools to save prep time and enhance engagement.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics.
• Offer on-demand tutoring when available and provide personalized instruction to meet individual goals.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Middle School Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour.
