Responsibilities
- Sales and Prospecting
Identify and contact potential clients to introduce personal lines insurance products. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and expand the customer base. Conduct thorough needs analyses to understand client requirements and recommend suitable coverage. - Client Service
Provide exceptional service to existing clients by addressing inquiries, processing policy changes, and handling claims assistance. Review and update clients’ portfolios to ensure adequate coverage and identify opportunities for additional sales. Maintain accurate records in the agency management system. - Product Knowledge and Compliance
Stay updated on personal lines products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Attend training to enhance knowledge and skills. - Marketing and Networking
Develop relationships with referral sources (real estate agents, mortgage brokers, car dealerships). Participate in community events and use social media and digital marketing to reach potential clients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Valid insurance producer license in the state of operation.
- Three years of proven experience in insurance sales, preferably personal lines.
- Strong understanding of personal insurance products and coverage options.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using insurance agency management software and CRM systems.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to high-quality service; results-oriented with a track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Compensation
Base salary plus commission based on sales performance. Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr.
