Position Description
TheDirector of Marketing and Communications for the Albers School of Business andEconomics is the chief architect of our enrollment marketing strategy, with aprimary mandate to generate a robust pipeline of well-qualified andcollectively diverse prospects for our graduate and undergraduate programs. The Director leads strategic marketingefforts to grow graduate enrollment, elevate Albers' visibility, and strengthenbrand positioning in alignment with Seattle University's mission and enrollmentgoals. This position is primarily responsible for driving top-of-the-funnelacquisition for Albers' MBA and specialized master's programs while alsosupporting undergraduate recruitment marketing, content development, andschool-wide communications. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer with adotted line to the Dean, this role isresponsible for planning, executing, and optimizing multi-channel campaignsthat drive measurable enrollment growth.
The Director applies a performance marketingmindset-balancing creativity with analytics-to increase inquiries,applications, and yield. The position manages a $360K+ marketing budget,oversees agency and vendor relationships, and ensures that every dollar spentadvances the recruitment and enrollment goals of the School. Secondaryresponsibilities include brand-building initiatives, school-wide storytelling,and alumni engagement in ways that reinforce the enrollment mission.

Compensation at a Glance
Annual Salary Range: $105,000 - $110,000
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that representsits good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at thetime of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will bedetermined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selectedcandidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equityconsiderations, and available market information, and not based on acandidate's gender or any other protected status.

Job Functions
GraduateEnrollment Marketing Leadership
- Design and execute full-funnel marketing campaigns (digital, print, experiential) that increase lead volume, improve lead quality, and support goals for collective cohort diversity.
- Collaborate with the GEPE Operations and Admissions staff to align campaigns with recruitment and yield goals.
Campaign Optimization & Analytics
- Use data to monitor cost-per-lead, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Adjust tactics for maximum impact in collaboration with admissions and recruitment teams.
Digital Strategy and Website Performance
- Co-manage the Albers website with the MarCom Web Development team to improve SEO/AISO, user experience, and content performance.
- Leverage analytics tools to assess marketing effectiveness and identify opportunities to increase engagement and conversions.
- Tailor messaging to prospective business students in alignment with the institutional brand and voice.
Vendor &Channel Management
- Direct paid search, paid social, SEO, and display advertising with third-party partners; continually test new channels and creative to expand reach.
Content &Storytelling
- Plan and manage high-impact video, web, and print content that differentiates Albers programs, highlights career outcomes, and resonates with prospective students.
- Manage creation of marketing collateral, digital content, video, and storytelling assets that communicate Albers's mission, outcomes, and impact.
UndergraduateMarketing Support
- Partner with the undergraduate recruitment team and Albers faculty to adapt campaigns and events for early-stage prospects and families.
- Coordinate with undergraduate marketing and the Albers undergraduate team to enhance recruitment and yield communications.
- Contribute to the development of compelling messaging and storytelling that highlights the undergraduate business experience.
Advancementand Alumni Engagement
- Work with University Advancement and the Office of Alumni Engagement to support graduate alumni communications and promotional strategies for events and fundraising initiatives.
- Oversee production of The Albers Brief, a biannual publication spotlighting student success, alumni, faculty research, and school milestones.
- Collaborate with the Office of Strategic Communications to amplify faculty expertise and elevate Albers in local and national media.
- Help build storytelling pipelines that celebrate alumni achievements and demonstrate Albers' impact in the business world.
Leadershipand Operations
- Supervise student marketing assistants to support campaign deployment and school-wide marketing needs.
- Serve as the Albers marketing lead on cross-university teams and committees, including SEM working groups or campaign planning initiatives.
- Stay current with marketing trends, tools, and best practices in higher education, business education, and digital engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 6+ years of progressive marketing experience in enrollment, demand generation, or product marketing
- Demonstrated ability to drive measurable growth in lead generation and conversion.
- Proficiency with marketing analytics, CRM, and campaign optimization tools.
- Experience managing substantial marketing budgets and agency/vendor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience across both in-house and agency environments, ideally but not required, in graduate program and/or higher education marketing.
- Strong understanding of SEO, paid media platforms, and content strategy.
- Experience in marketing to diverse domestic and international audiences.
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms; familiarity with Google Analytics, paid media platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience leading vendor and agency relationships.
- Strong editorial sensibility and event marketing experience.
