Advertising Account Manager role at Microsoft. Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers advertisers with digital advertising solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform. As an Advertising Account Manager (AM), you will enable Microsoft to better serve clients by applying a client-focused approach, ensuring our Microsoft Advertising story is valued and understood, and building and maintaining solid trusted-advisor relationships with day-to-day practitioner contacts at advertiser/agency. You will drive both revenue and client satisfaction across MSA’s performance solutions and, as a core member of the account team, focus on data-driven optimizations aligned with client needs, executing campaigns and coordinating internal resources for excellence in execution of core tasks, account transitions, and client account health.

Responsibilities
- Plan with purpose through client planning by partnering with teams (AEs, Specialist team) to develop and execute MSA account plans, leveraging winning sales strategies replicated across clients and client types.
- Learn about the client’s business drivers, compelling events, and seasonality to identify opportunities to optimize consumption; partner with the Account Executive in developing sales plans for the client with a focus on Search and incubation product growth and cross-Microsoft opportunities.
- Influence digital marketing stakeholders by leading with insights and data; tailor content and messages to grow and optimize campaigns and demonstrate how MSA can increase business results.
- Optimize the existing book of business to achieve sales targets and maintain sales hygiene; execute against pipeline, opportunity management, and revenue goals using a solution-selling mindset to deliver end-to-end client outcomes.
- Support the Account Executive in building a negotiation plan to ensure smooth closing and timely renewal of contracts.
- Maintain a positive approach during objections and negotiations; demonstrate expertise in MSA features and incentives, including incubations products; upsell and increase consumption of existing products and replicate successful strategies across client types.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 5+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales
- OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales
- OR 7+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales
- Experience in online media or Search Engine Marketing Sales and Service experience
- Experience managing hands-on search advertising campaigns and other performance-based digital marketing campaigns
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 7+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising
Advertising Account Management IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $87,000 - $148,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, with base pay ranges of USD $113,400 - $164,000 per year for those locations.
