Territory Sales Representative Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with enthusiasm and a desire for growth for a Territory Sales Representative role in Chattanooga, TN. You will be responsible for connecting clients by offering billboard marketing solutions and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong verbal skills, who is willing to work independently as well as in a team setting, and be self-disciplined to become an active member of the advertising community.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive base salary of $30,000 + 10% sales commissions upon completion of training, with great potential to earn more than $75,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining professionalism at all times, particularly when interacting with customers or colleagues in person, over the phone, or via email.
• Identifying and researching potential clients and anticipating their advertising needs.
• Collaborating with the Sales & Marketing team to brainstorm effective advertising campaign ideas, and presenting these proposals to the clients successfully.
• Communicating pricing and terms to clients, negotiating sales and renewals, and preparing advertising proposals and contracts.
• Participating in regular meetings with the Sales Manager to discuss current and upcoming sales opportunities.
• Establishing and maintaining contact with key prospects and accounts through in-person meetings, written correspondence, and phone calls.
• Upholding the company\'s customer service and sales standards.
• Staying engaged with the wider media advertising community within the market.

Qualifications

• Education: A minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or other related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in media advertising, marketing, or digital advertising is preferred but not required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license
• Other: Requires reliable personal transportation
• Skills: Must demonstrate confidence in managing multiple marketing campaigns and accounts concurrently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to pitch strategic ideas and manage client expectations.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Ability to lift less than 25 pounds, see clearly (including color distinction), sit greater than 50% of the time, stand/walk greater than 50% of the time (including climbing stairs), use a computer more than 50% of the time, and communicate verbally.

Daily local travel by automobile is required in the city of Chattanooga and surrounding areas.
