Overview
Marketing Coordinator role at Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES). The Marketing Coordinator will coordinate a marketing plan and perform comprehensive marketing activities with a primary goal of increasing enrollment in online engineering programs and courses and a secondary goal of promoting the services of the Engineering Studio for Advanced Instruction and Learning (eSAIL). The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing and Multimedia Production and will collaborate with media production specialists, web designers, communications liaisons, leaders from academic departments, and other marketing professionals.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement marketing strategies to grow and engage student enrollment in online engineering programs and courses and elevate the TAMU Engineering Online brand.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and analyze campaign/program/service/event effectiveness to inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation, and customer targeting.
- Conduct campaigns, through various media channels, to promote growth of online programs and courses and services provided by the department.
- Monitor and facilitate the workflow of prospective students from first contact through enrollment and provide reports.
- Coordinate the communication related to branding strategies, website content, annual marketing plans, public relations, and communication plans and timelines.
- Draft, edit, and schedule selected marketing communications for media placement in a variety of channels (i.e., web, print, email, online).
- Evaluate and analyze content marketing metrics to determine trending topics, identify key audiences and make recommendations for strategy improvement. Assist in quality control of marketing data and marketing materials. Generate and distribute reports.
- Collaborate with TAMU departments to provide strategic guidance on marketing best practices and to drive joint public relations and marketing activities.
- Monitor social media channels and campaigns, analyze and report performance in relation to enrollment, and provide actionable solutions for ongoing strategy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Three years of related experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, and analytics.
- Experience working with clients to execute marketing plans and analyze effectiveness.
- Experience in client relationship management.
- Experience writing and developing content with proven engagement on social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Understanding of and experience with targeted SEO and SEM and Google analytics.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
- Some experience using Customer relationship Management software
- Experience in marketing focused in higher education and/or online education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – including demonstrated ability to adapt tone and vocabulary for specific readers.
