z-Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Pool - Music at College of the Sequoias Community College District (Sequoias Community College District) invites applications for its Music adjunct pool within the Fine Arts Department. This is a part-time, non-tenure-track pool used to identify candidates for possible part-time teaching assignments when needs arise. The district serves a diverse community of learners and is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution.

Sequoias Community College District provides opportunities in transfer, general education, career, and technical programs. We seek candidates who understand and commit to the community college mission and who have a passion for student success. Applications for the part-time adjunct faculty pool to teach Music are accepted continuously; screening committees will review candidates. Meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview. If there is no immediate need, applications remain in the queue for consideration until the need arises or for one year in active status.

Responsibilities

Job Duties: Under the general direction of a dean or director, adjunct faculty provide comprehensive classroom instruction to community college students. The majority of departments require the ability to teach face-to-face classes. Adjunct faculty may also be expected to collect and submit data on student learning objectives as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: The minimum qualifications for all disciplines are those contained in the California Community Colleges’ framework (the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges).
