Job Summary: The Technical Writer I is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation for Geographic Solutions’ software systems. This includes end-user guides, administrator manuals, release notes, and help files. Working closely with internal teams, including developers, business analysts, project managers, and other SMEs, the Technical Writer I ensures documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with internal standards. This entry-level role is designed for individuals developing their technical writing skills while working under the guidance of an experienced mentor or senior writer. This role also involves regularly reviewing and updating existing content to reflect product enhancements and evolving user needs, as well as assisting with functional boilerplate content and proposals when needed.
