The Marketing and Events Coordinator is a full-time on-site role that reports to the Marketing Director. From conceptualization to implementation, this position plays a key role in driving our marketing initiatives and ensuring the success of our events. They will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing marketing campaigns, managing social media platforms, coordinating special events, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful marketing and event strategies. The Marketing and Events Coordinator will also assist in creating marketing materials, analyzing data and trends, and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Marketing
- Create engaging content for the organization. Content includes but is not limited to writing copy, designing graphics, and producing multimedia assets.
- Work with the Marketing Director to develop and execute various marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, social media, and email.
- Manage social media accounts, including creating content calendars, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the organizations website, including adding new content, optimizing for SEO, and monitoring site analytics.
- Events
- Assist in planning and coordinating new and existing OTHS events including logistics, vendor management, and promotion.
- Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while meeting marketing and event objectives.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable insights for future events.
- Attend community events on behalf of Old Town Hot Springs. Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the OTHS mission and goals.

- Collaboration: Maintains a strong working relationship with all departments to support overall organization objectives and goals.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to innovate and optimize strategies.
Requirements
- A bachelors degree in marketing, communications, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two years experience in a marketing and/or events role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and logistical skills are essential, along with the ability to plan and execute events of varying sizes and complexity.
- The ability to quickly identify issues and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment, particularly during events.
- The ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing strategies and event concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
