Overview

Product Design at Epsilon brings together capabilities in design strategy & research, UI design, UX / interaction design, UX engineering, and UX QA to help build a suite of products comprising Epsilon PeopleCloud, an industry-leading, outcome-based marketing platform. As a Product Designer on the Strategy & Research team (reporting to the Director of Product Design Strategy & Research), you will play a pivotal role in connecting strategic business objectives with user needs. You will engage collaboratively with product management and other participants early in the product development process to guide decisions around product strategy, requirements, and scope with a design- and user-centered perspective. Your work will be informed by concept testing, usability studies, and other research focused on better understanding our users and their needs. You\'ll also be responsible for communicating design intent and value through cross-product storytelling, while stewarding the implementation of design strategy throughout the entire product design process. At Epsilon, we view product design holistically, extending beyond traditional UX / interaction design to embrace the growing role of design in shaping product roadmaps, driving business decisions, and defining forward-looking vision. Our Strategy & Research team acts as connective tissue across projects, designers, and teams while addressing the complexities of our interconnected product ecosystem. In an era of rapid technological advancement, particularly around AI, we help redefine the role of design as a mediator and facilitator of cross-functional processes. What You’ll Achieve

Conduct and analyze user research to identify unmet needs, problems, and opportunities for innovation across our product ecosystem. Define clear research questions and identify / implement relevant research and design methodologies to address complex business problems. Create and maintain user personas, role descriptions, task flows, and journey maps to build shared understanding across teams. Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions with partners to align user needs and strategic product direction. Synthesize research insights into actionable recommendations that influence product roadmaps. Develop narrative frameworks and storytelling approaches (using schematic, low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes) that communicate design intent and value across products (not merely pixel-perfect hand-offs). Create process documentation including swim lane diagrams, concept maps, and speculative design artifacts that explore potential futures and strategic directions. Support thorough information gathering and analysis to avoid early solution fixation. Contribute to the growth and maintenance of a research repository for cross-team accessibility. Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure the strategic vision is maintained during implementation. Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field (master’s degree with research experience preferred). 1-2 years of experience in product design, UX research, design strategy, service design, or related field (relevant internships considered). A portfolio demonstrating strategy-focused and research-driven design approaches. Experience with qualitative UX research methods including user interviews, usability testing, and workshop facilitation. Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize research data into actionable insights. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Experience using diagrammatic visualization tools to communicate relationships, processes, and concepts. Natural curiosity about and empathy for users and their needs. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships. Adaptability in a fast-paced product development environment. Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and strategic design principles. Why You’ll Thrive Here

Shape product strategy at the earliest stages of development. Work at the intersection of business strategy, user experience, and technology. Practice speculative design to explore possible futures and guide strategic direction. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across a complex product ecosystem. Help define the evolving role of design in an AI-driven technological landscape. Influence how design strategy is implemented throughout the product development process. Be part of a team that values creative thinking and strategic problem-solving. Additional information about Epsilon and benefits is provided below. Additional Information
