Senior Product Marketing Manager Feature Management & Experimentation Harness is a high-growth company that disrupts the software delivery market. Position summary: You will own the go-to-market story for Harness Feature Management and Experimentation (built on the acquisition of Split.io). This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing with broad visibility and hands-on execution. About The Role Strategy & Positioning:
Own category positioning, define messaging, value props, and competitive differentiation vs. LaunchDarkly, Statsig, Optimizely, and others. Partner with Product to bring customer and market insights into roadmap decisions. Represent the product in CABs, QBRs, and analyst briefings. Sales & Field Enablement:
Build playbooks, training, and competitive battle-cards. Support opportunities with product and persona expertise. Demo the product for prospects when needed and help win deals. Write customer success stories and partner with Sales on win/loss analysis and pipeline insights. Content & Evangelism:
Develop thought leadership assets (blogs, briefs, videos, presentations, campaigns). Spin up a sample app, integrate an SDK, and demonstrate capabilities. Represent Harness at webinars and events. Prepare customer speakers for summits. Insights & Growth:
Perform funnel analysis to identify optimization opportunities, lead win/loss and competitive intelligence, and synthesize feedback to improve messaging and influence product strategy.
About You
7+ years in product marketing or a technical role (product management, solutions engineering, architecture). Strong foundation in the software delivery lifecycle; experience with developer tooling, feature management, data/analytics platforms, or experimentation frameworks. Equally comfortable shaping strategy and demoing features hands-on. Exceptional communicator with the ability to translate technical detail into customer value stories. Collaborative and energized by cross-functional work.
Bonus Points
Direct experience marketing or competing in the feature flagging / experimentation category. Background as a developer relations engineer, solutions engineer, or sales engineer pivoting to marketing. Experience with customer-focused events and Feature Wizard style engagements.
What Success Looks Like
Improved win rate in competitive deals and influenced pipeline from campaigns and enablement. Sales confidence and adoption of playbooks, training, and competitive tools. Customer proof points (case studies, references, event speakers) and analyst recognition driven by positioning and storytelling.
