This position promotes excellence in pedagogy and educational technology in all course modalities by building faculty expertise in educational experiences. Responsibilities

Responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies Serve as primary contact for faculty LMS and online learning support Provide management of the LMS with an administrator-light role in D2L Respond to technology tickets related to the LMS Guide faculty on effective research-based practices in instructional design, pedagogy, and technology by providing related one-on-one support, consultations, and workshops Assist faculty to enhance teaching, explore teaching innovation, or improve student learning Consult with faculty to analyze classroom practices, assess teaching and learning needs of courses, and share evidence-based approaches in course design, instruction, and assessment Foster a culture of formative assessment and continuous improvement of teaching practices to enhance student learning Assist with the design and implementation of new CETL programming and events Develop marketing and communication strategies to engage faculty and staff in CETL programming and services Stay up to date on research about pedagogical methods and instructional technologies, especially learner-centered teaching, and disseminate relevant research and literature to faculty Keep up to date on researched best practices in areas related to faculty development and improving the center's overall effectiveness Create and maintain print and online teaching and learning resources Partner with campus constituents to implement GHC and USG initiatives that pertain to an inclusive and equitable learning environment Collaborate with CETL team and assist with projects as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a course of study related to the occupation Minimum 1 year experience in the field of faculty development, educational development, training, organizational development, or leadership development Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a related field Experience sufficient to understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department Possession of or ability to obtain a valid drivers license Proposed Salary

Knowledge of excellent and effective teaching methods at the college level Knowledge of facilitating teaching workshops, trainings, and learning communities Knowledge to develop, facilitate, and assess programs for faculty at various career stages Knowledge of learning management systems (e.g. Desire to Learn, Blackboard, Canvas) Skills in effective communication, presentation and facilitation and ability to converse fluently with subject matter experts in diverse academic disciplines Skills to mentor and/or collaborate with peers or instructional staff to improve student learning Skills in project and time management to attend to detail and manage multiple projects simultaneously Skills to provide individual consultation on teaching and learning issues Ability to understand the policies of the University System of Georgia Ability to understand the policies and procedures of GHC Apply Before
