Position Information

The primary role of the Visual Merchandising Manager is to drive innovation and brand storytelling through compelling and strategic visual programs. This role ensures a strong brand presence across diverse global in-store formats within a highly competitive marketplace.

The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for designing and developing visual merchandising (VM) collateral for in-store displays, animations, events, and shaping the overall in-store consumer journey. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and technically proficient. They must demonstrate the ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and be skilled in coaching and mentoring team members. This position reports directly to the VP of Global Store Design and Visual Merchandising.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute all visual merchandising requests from end to end, overseeing each project phaseincluding briefing, concept development, design, approvals, and final executionto ensure on-time delivery
  • Lead the development and execution of merchandising and event guidelines, including lightbox priorities and mechanicals, for seasonal program launches
  • Design all permanent fixtures and lead yearly template updates, including planograms and production-ready design turnover drawings
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of materials, engineering, and timing constraints to ensure realistic and high-quality project execution
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising Operations (VM Ops) to enhance processes related to VM collateral, campaign launches, events guidelines, and regional initiatives
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Store Design to align visual merchandising initiatives with broader business strategies and project objectives
  • Develop and maintain live VM onboarding documents for internal training and reference
  • Organize and manage the SDVM folder system to ensure efficient access and version control
  • Research the competitive retail landscape and share relevant trends and inspiration with the team to inform creative direction
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in visual merchandising, with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Demonstrated hands-on skills in 2D and 3D design using the latest Adobe Creative Suite; experience working on a Mac-based platform
  • Proficient in SketchUp Pro or other 3D software
  • High attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of technical drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong design sense and expertise in color, typography, composition, and image manipulation, with a deep understanding of beauty and luxury brand codes and how they translate in a retail environment
  • Able to work independently while maintaining strong interpersonal skills to foster cross-functional relationships
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
