Overview
The Associate Manager, Retail Media Advertising Operations will execute campaign trafficking, optimization and reporting of our direct and programmatic retail media business. The primary purpose is to support the Manager, Retail Media Advertising Operations by delivering the daily execution and optimization of digital marketing campaigns. This role supports onsite and offsite digital marketing channel and campaign management, including day-to-day campaign stewardship, client partnership planning and collaboration, and campaign performance recaps and communication. The individual manages campaigns to weekly and monthly budget goals and analyzes performance data to provide action plans. It leverages digital marketing channels to drive in-store and online traffic, deliver total campaign metrics and optimize ROI, either by creating programs from concept to design or by optimizing current programs. Responsibilities include collaboration on creative and ad copy strategies, determining target audiences based on client needs, monitoring data and data process flows, product feed management, scheduling campaigns (recurring or ad hoc), tracking results, and working with internal tools/processes and external partners. The individual should be knowledgeable about database management and be able to understand and build programs that involve multiple variables delivered through various sources.
What You Will Do
- Lead the trafficking, management, and optimization of advertising campaigns leveraging 3rd party platforms (Google Ad Manager, DSPs, Data On-boarders, social platforms, etc.).
- Responsible for daily campaign execution, stewardship and optimization of digital campaigns in respective channels (Onsite, Google, Facebook, Bing, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest).
- Work with internal and partner Client Services to ensure campaigns meet and deliver client requirements and expectations.
- Create a data-driven approach that formulates reporting and insights to identify process development opportunities and inform training needs across internal and partner Sales and Ad Operations teams.
- Collaborate with internal digital teams and Client Services to build efficient processes for campaign planning, setup, management, and creative implementation, identifying inefficiencies and delivering solutions to improve operational workflow within the ad journey.
- Support campaign and creative QA, including troubleshooting ad-hoc tagging, tracking, and reporting issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to build inventory management processes, including avail and fill-rate insights and growth projections.
- Build scalable, standardized processes for campaign execution, including requirements, targeting standards, creative QA, monitoring, optimization, and reporting.
- Partner with media, digital and IT teams to onboard new ad tech partners and develop creative standards and related shared activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of progressive experience in Digital Ad Sales Operations, including at least 3 years of team management experience.
- 1 year of hands-on experience with ad servers and ad management technology (GAM required; DMP/CDP, DSPs, and troubleshooting tools such as Charles Proxy, HTML5 Validator, Ghostery, etc.), with a perspective on viewability, ads.txt and ad tagging.
- 1 year of experience with verification tools (ComScore, IAS, DoubleVerify, MOAT).
- Strong knowledge of programmatic advertising, preferably with SSP experience (e.g., AdX, Index, Verizon, Magnite, PubMatic) and/or experience with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, ComScore) and social campaign execution.
- Experience trafficking digital video and other formats.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with data analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, relationship-building, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
