SUMMARY: The Marketing Assistant will report to the Executive Director of Marketing and will provide a wide range of administrative and marketing support on behalf of the Group's six imprints. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate sales conference materials and answer general queries for the sales departmentOrganize mailings to bookstores and influencers Assist marketing team with campaigns Manage the Seal Press Ambassadors influencer program Daily management of imprint social media channelsCommunicate with senior staff, media, booksellers, as well as authors and literary agentsCoordinate the Basic Books annual catalogOwn the department's project management tasks using Basecamp for catalog and fact sheet production Admin duties include: route copy, code invoices, coordinate mailings, schedule meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes, and create and distribute weekly reports.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:Interest in book publishing is essential, along with a strong interest in marketing.College degree preferredSolid computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word and ExcelProficient with social media, content creation, and Canva preferredFamiliarity with project management software preferredStrong communication skills are essential (verbal and written) Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.As a leading book publisher, we believe that including and representing diverse voices in all aspects of our business is fundamental to what we do.
