Overview

The Marketing & Development Coordinator collaborates with the Marketing & Development Teams to support marketing efforts, stewardship activities, community outreach, events and fund development. Duties entail administrative and project-based functions including graphic design, photography, donor and organization event logistics and participation, scheduling, coordinating and executing organizational campaigns and annual appeal campaigns, processing information requests, maintaining team-based databases and department-based email, preparing reports as needed, sponsorship cultivation and community outreach.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions
  • Help to develop and execute an annual Marketing plan, in collaboration with the Marketing & Development team with target goals, objectives, timelines and outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support including preparing and editing graphics, presentations, correspondence and other documents.
  • Capture events and testimonials through digital media.
  • Maintain and update internal and external database systems.
  • Develop high-quality visual and written materials, including graphics, flyers, brochures, videos, pitch desks, and infographics to support both marketing & funding opportunities.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and event logistics including notification of attendees, securing facilities or preparing and hosting virtual platform, and ordering food and supplies.
  • Present marketing initiatives during new hire orientations and staff meetings.
  • Monitor, respond to and distribute incoming communications from staff (e.g., marketing request forms, questions about marketing, web forms, intranet).
  • Develop and carry out an efficient documentation and filing system.
  • Oversee Canva platform and design requests and approvals.
  • Interact with internal staff at all levels in all locations in person and remotely.
  • Assist Marketing with internal requests.
  • Serve as a member of the marketing & development team and support marketing & development initiatives. Work with PQI to gather information to tell the story of CFRs success.
  • Maintain Sales Force database, processes internal Marketing Requests, coordinates and communicates to printer, and internal staff, and generates reports.
  • Monitor, respond to and distribute incoming communications.
  • Participate in creating new ideas to improve staff engagement and morale.
  • Assist Marketing, Development with special projects as needed.
  • Interact with internal and external clients at all levels.
  • Build partnerships and cultivate relationships with stakeholders as needed.
  • Attend outreach events, public meetings, conferences, and advocacy initiatives as needed, may require local or regional travel.
  • Design and implement outreach plans via events, public forums, tabling and stakeholder meetings to build awareness and organization involvement.
  • Identify funding opportunities, sponsorship pitches, and donor-facing materials and manage acknowledgement communications and stewardship programs.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to write and speak in both English and Spanish.
  • Two years graphic design experience.
  • Two years Adobe Creative Suite experience.
  • One year Canva experience.
  • Associate degree required; bachelors degree preferred.
  • Two years relevant experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Google Analytics certifications and/or experience.
  • SEO writing experience.
  • Ability to problem solve, interpret instructions from diverse individuals, and recommend solutions.
  • Photography and video capturing experience.
  • Must be available for all events, meetings and media opportunities in local and regional area as needed.
  • Commitment to adhering to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) standards and ethics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and database management experience required. Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to support and implement department projects, policies, goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a functional and safe home working space with adequate internet connection for the job.
  • Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures including confidentiality, employee conduct, computer usage and dress code.
  • Meet program/departments performance and productivity standards.
  • Attend required agency and program/department meetings and activities.
  • Adhere to the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
  • Follow and model CFRs core values.
  • Participate in PQI initiatives.
  • Weekends and some evening work may be required.
  • Must be eligible and able to obtain a Level one fingerprint card.
  • Must have a valid Arizona drivers license, vehicle and meet agency liability insurance requirements.
Ability Requirements
  • Sitting for extended periods daily; standing and walking short distances.
  • Moderate twisting, bending, stooping, and lifting in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines as referenced.
  • Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required.
  • Repeated hand-wrist movement required.

The nature of the position involves a fast-paced working environment with multitasking of many different duties and tasks. General daily priorities may change at a moments notice and the position requires quick response time and flexibility.
