ASSISTANT MANAGER, MARKETING, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance

The Assistant Manager, Marketing is responsible for supporting the management of all marketing and communications for the Department of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance. Key responsibilities include managing social media, promoting programs to the campus and broader community, addressing the marketing needs of internal and external clients, and executing a strategic marketing plan to meet revenue and participation goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage social media, promote programs to the campus and broader community, and address the marketing needs of internal and external clients.
• Execute a strategic marketing plan to meet revenue and participation goals.
• Hire and supervise a team of student creatives, providing guidance and oversight on their deliverables across a wide variety of media.
• Produce and distribute regular analytics reports to measure customer engagement and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Marketing/Communications, Public Relations or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in the field
• Excellent verbal and written, customer-service, organizational and leadership skills.
• Proven leadership experience in guiding a team, leading initiatives, or taking ownership of projects; experience working with students is a plus.
• Experience in managing and growing social media presence and analytics.
• Experience with programs including Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite/Canva, and social media management tools.
• Familiarity with marketing recreation and/or wellness to a community is a plus.
