Position Overview
Sky Society is seeking an energized, trend-obsessed, and pop-culture-savvy Marketing Manager to lead execution across email, social media, copywriting, and web. This hybrid role uniquely combines strategic marketing execution (80%) with mentorship (20%), serving not only as a key player in the growth of the Sky Society brand but also as an instructor/mentor for students in our flagship marketing bootcamp, Sky Society Accelerator. This role is a great fit for somebody who wants to utilize both their marketing and leadership skills.
This is an ideal opportunity for a marketer who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves connecting with people, and has previous performance marketing experience. The Marketing Manager will work directly alongside the CEO to drive campaign strategy and manage execution across core channels. At the same time, this role plays a high-impact, people-facing part by leading live sessions for our students and becoming a trusted mentor to early-career marketing talent.
This role is for someone who has a pulse on whats shaping internet culture, knows what brands are going viral and why, and lives and breathes digital storytelling. Whether its a trending sound or a viral drop, you know how and why it works and can channel that same energy into Sky Societys marketing.
This is a high-ownership role for someone whos passionate about marketing and purpose-driven work, understands Gen Z consumer behavior, and is excited to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize performance marketing campaigns across Meta and Google
- Manage monthly paid media budgets, improving CAC and ROAS through continuous iteration and creative testing
- Oversee email marketing strategy and execution including writing, scheduling, and performance tracking
- Manage organic social media content across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, ensuring alignment with brand tone and trends
- Lead SEO content strategy that supports visibility and brand authority
- Write copy for landing pages, website updates, and brand communications
- Design supporting assets in Canva for email, social, and presentations
- Build and update landing pages in line with marketing campaigns and program launches
- Lead the content calendar with support from our social media intern
- Support performance improvements across marketing channels
- Mentor and teach young women about marketing in virtual group settings (10-20% of the role encompasses the mentor/instructor responsibilities)
- Foster connections with students and create an inclusive, encouraging learning environment
- Answer questions and adapt in real time without relying on strict scripts or structure
Qualifications
- Based in Austin, Texas
- 3-4 years of marketing experience, preferably agency experience
- Experience using Google Analytics to track and optimize performance
- Experience being held to performance KPIs
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Pop culture-aware and trend-savvy
- Agile, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Strong collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, startup environments
- Skilled in public speaking and comfortable leading live sessions
