Role Description

This full-time position is responsible for managing digital marketing areas across various digital channels for association clients and FSA owned events, including social media and email to drive brand awareness, traffic and conversions. Position will also include graphic design production assistance and some copywriting for emails and social media posts. Areas of expertise are identified in the essential duties section of this position description. The position works in collaboration with internal and external clients and volunteer leaders. This position translates strategic direction from client services and event services into outstanding marketing campaigns, social media posts, ads and emails. Mastery of social media management and growth strategy, as well as a general understanding of the messaging, tone, and the overall strategic goals of each client, is essential. Digital marketing assets must be fresh, compelling, sophisticated, relatable for key client audiences and in keeping with trends and FSAs overall commitment to creativity and excellence.

We are seeking imaginative, effective campaigns with a reasonable quick turnaround time. FSA is a fast-paced work environment where managing multiple projects and clients is essential throughout the work week.

This position will be primarily remote. However, will require some time in the Louisville, KY office plus local event production during the week, including some nights and weekends

  • Respond promptly to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries
  • Take direction and feedback from internal team members and external clients and easily pivot accordingly
  • Uphold the brand standards for FSA and our clients in alignment with marketing strategies
  • Brainstorm and develop concepts for digital marketing campaigns and features
  • Manage email audience lists
  • Social media management to market FSA events and clients
    • Scheduling posts
    • Set up and maintain profiles on social networks
    • Create graphics for social media posts
    • Respond to customer inquiries
    • Find relevant content to share
    • Optimize posts for organic reach
    • Report reach, traffic, and other important metrics to key stakeholders
    • Monitor a brand's online reputation and quickly solving issues affecting the company's image
    • Find and connect with influencers
    • Create and optimize paid social media campaigns

  • Collaborate with the FSA team, FSA clients and other stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines on a fast-moving schedule
  • Manage multiple accounts and projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements
  • Stay informed about the latest digital trends and implement new research and tools to improve campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance, analyze data to identify trends, and generate reports to measure ROI and improve future efforts.
  • Be mindful of communication and design strategies throughout life of campaign and across all collateral
  • Monitor and maintain the media budget for digital marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate exceptional ability to understand complex/comprehensive subjects and break down communication messages with clear design execution
  • Execute creative ideas with efficiency, skill and mindfulness of final production
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients
  • Brainstorm and develop concepts and copy for Event Promotions and Emails
  • Design for digital, mindful of opportunities and restrictions of each
  • Proof all work for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Make basic website updates that involve events and membership
  • Track time spent on projects
  • Function effortlessly and effectively in a professional environment
  • Continue to learn new tools and techniques that can be applied to your digital marketing design and event promotion abilities
  • All other duties as assigned


Software & Technology Skills
  • Mail Chimp (other broadcast email platforms a plus such as Constant Contact)
  • Copywriting
  • All social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube
  • Adobe Creative Suite -InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with WordPress and HTML a plus

Qualifications Needed for Successful Performance of Responsibilities
  • College degree and at least three years of experience in digital marketing and graphic design, along with demonstrated experience in business and team collaboration.
  • Experience in agency or in-house marketing setting required
  • Digital advertising experience required (broadcast emails, social media, video, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to produce results quickly and efficiently
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to proactively prioritize tasks
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and desire to assist internal and external clients.
  • Ability to multi-task and work both with minimal supervision and in collaboration
