We are looking for a proactive and organized Events Manager to join our team part-time.
In this role, you will collaborate with our executive team and take the lead in identifying and securing new opportunities, like local events and weddings, to showcase Wagon Box as a top venue. Youll work closely with our Lodging and Restaurant teams to ensure seamless event execution, from accommodation availability to catering needs. This position offers a mix of remote work and on-site access to our restaurant workspace in Story, Wyoming. Responsibilities:
Actively seek out and pitch the Wagon Box as a venue for local events, meetups, weddings, and private gatherings from Casper to Billings. Coordinate with the Lodging team to confirm availability of cabins, lodge rooms, tents, and other accommodations for event guests. Collaborate with the Restaurant team to arrange meals, catering, or special dining requests for events. Serve as the point of contact for event inquiries, bookings, and follow-ups with clients or community partners. Maintain an organized event calendar and communicate updates to relevant teams. Assist with on-site event setup, oversight, and troubleshooting as needed (on-site presence required). Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or a related field (wedding planning, hospitality, or community engagement experience a plus).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients, vendors, and team members. Proactive and creative mindset for identifying new event opportunities.Familiarity with the Story, Sheridan, or Buffalo area (or willingness to relocate) and an understanding of local community dynamics. Ability to work independently with some remote flexibility, paired with availability to be on-site as needed. Skilled in social media marketing and with event management tools. Passion for creating memorable guest experiences in a unique, rural setting. Location & Work Arrangement Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate toStory, Wyoming, or the Sheridan/Buffalo area.
