General Duties: Provide full-spectrum communication and technical support across secure platforms to enable real-time command and control of SOCNORTH operations. Coordinate with JOC leadership to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving communication systems and operational platforms. Deploy and maintain communications packages including SIE, Ku-band satellite, BGAN, Ethernet, UHF/VHF, TACSAT, WAN, and LAN systems. Conduct threat research, data analysis, and mission impact assessments to support operations and planning. Ensure seamless communication between government entities, interagency partners, and allied forces within the USNORTHCOM AOR. Provide technical guidance in the application of communications policies and crisis action procedures. Integrate Joint Special Operations doctrine and processes such as Crisis Action Planning (CAP), Time-Sensitive Planning (TSP), and F3EAD into daily operations. Maintain situational awareness of DoD, SOCOM, service component structures, and national intelligence community operations to ensure synchronized communications. Collaborate with SOCNORTH directorates and external agencies to maintain communication readiness and interoperability during routine and contingency operations. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of recent experience troubleshooting, programming, and resolving IT issues within Joint Operational Centers (JOC), Tactical Operation Centers (TOC), Emergency Operations Centers (EOC), or similar complex operations centers.
