Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Roberts Hall 346. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position varies on the hours required per week. It is based on the video project needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and storyboard video projects that align with the university's branding and messaging.
- Film a variety of events, activities, and interviews on campus, ensuring high-quality footage and audio.
- Edit video footage using industry-standard software to produce polished final products.
- Incorporate graphics, music, and other elements to enhance the visual appeal of videos.
- Ensure all video content complies with copyright laws and university guidelines.
- Manage equipment, including cameras, tripods, microphones, and lighting, to ensure proper functionality and maintenance.
- Organize and maintain a library of video assets for easy access by the marketing team.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices in videography to continually improve skills and techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment as a student at High Point University.
- Strong proficiency in videography techniques, including filming, lighting, and audio recording.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual storytelling.
Desired Skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the marketing team and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in videography or video editing.
