Audio Engineer - Audio HAL for Android Automotive position at DBSI Services, Inc., Novi, MI. Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Audio HAL for Android Automotive.
• Develop C/C++ code to interface with radio hardware.
• Implement audio data streaming between HAL and Android framework.
• Collaborate with engineers on the Android Automotive audio stack.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the HAL functionality.
• Analyze and interpret radio diagnostic data.
• Stay current with advancements in Android Automotive audio hardware.
• Contribute to documentation and maintenance of HAL code.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years' experience developing embedded software.
• Strong knowledge of C and C++.
• Experience with embedded operating systems, such as Linux/QNX/FreeRTOS.
• Experience with hardware abstraction layers (HALs).
• Experience with audio processing and codecs.
• Experience with audio DSPs.
• Responsible for Audio and related Feature (DAB, FM, USB, CD-DVD etc).
• Experience with peripheral buses, such as I2C and I2S.
• Strong Linux/Android internals and kernel fundamentals.
• Experience with audio systems (ALSA, audio framework, audio drivers).
• Preferred if having experience with audio BSP for embedded systems that use Qualcomm chipsets and Qualcomm Audio Framework (Audio Reach/Elite).
