Overview

Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking News Producers to join our team. Sinclair Broadcast Group has an immediate opening for creative News Producers in various locations. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts. This position will also work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors on the newscast and its content. In this position you will determine the content and flow of newscasts, work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories and develop content for our web site.

Responsibilities

• Determine the content and flow of newscasts
• Collaborate with Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors on the newscast and its content
• Generate and write stories and develop content for Sinclair’s website
• Oversee day-to-day production of newscasts in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Solid news judgment
• Compelling and accurate writing
• Ability to multitask and manage time to produce an engaging, informative newscast
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities
• Proficient with non-linear editing (e.g., Avid) and newsroom systems (e.g., iNews)

Experience

Experience requirements will vary by location. In certain areas, entry-level candidates with a degree in Journalism, Broadcast, or related fields may be considered
