Pay: 35.38 per hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Product Photographer to capture high-quality images of automotive parts in accordance with the PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) Image Guidelines. The photographer will play a key role in ensuring our digital catalogs, eCommerce platforms, and marketing materials feature accurate, professional, and standardized product images that meet industry requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Photograph a wide range of automotive parts in a controlled studio environment.
  • Ensure all images comply with PIES image requirements (e.g., angle, background, size, resolution, file naming).
  • Set up and maintain proper studio lighting, backgrounds, and equipment to achieve consistent results.
  • Retouch, edit, and optimize images for clarity, color accuracy, and compliance with digital specifications.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring proper labeling and metadata for all product images.
  • Collaborate with product managers, cataloging teams, and marketing staff to prioritize image needs.
  • Stay current on industry imaging standards and continuously improve workflows for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and handle automotive parts weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Proven experience in product photography, ideally with industrial or automotive components.
  • Strong knowledge of studio lighting, camera equipment, and photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with PIES standards (or willingness to learn quickly and apply them accurately).
  • High attention to detail and ability to replicate consistent angles, backgrounds, and lighting across thousands of SKUs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience photographing reflective, metallic, or irregularly shaped objects.
  • Knowledge of ACES/ACES2 and other automotive catalog data standards.
  • Background in automotive aftermarket or parts cataloging.
  • Experience with DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems.
