Lecturer - Visual Cultures Pool — 36292 Faculty. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) College of Letters, Arts and Sciences seeks a Visual Cultures lecturer to join a pool for future temporary, non-tenure track appointments. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and made semester-by-semester. This posting creates a pool of qualified candidates to be considered as needs arise.

Affirmations: UCCS will not sponsor work visas or permanent resident applications for this position. The salary is $1,045 per credit hour, with compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Work Location: Determined by course modality: on-campus, online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.

Summary: The LAS at UCCS will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Visual Cultures from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time and will be made semester-by-semester.

Responsibilities

The position is responsible for teaching various Visual Cultures courses; however, exact courses taught will depend on departmental need at the time of hire. Courses may be offered in-person or online.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

• Master's degree in the field OR significant field experience documented with a Letter of Expertise submitted to HR in lieu of transcripts. The Letter of Expertise is written by the chair of the department in which the individual will lecture.
