Role: Social Media Manager

About the role:

We are partnering with one of the world's most iconic CPG companies to drive creative excellence in brand storytelling and marketing communications. We are looking for a proactive and creative individual to build engaged communities for some of the biggest brands in the world. The ideal candidate will consistently bring best-in-class recommendations to our client's brand team, while proactively working with internal colleagues and key client stakeholders to develop, implement, and optimize content across each social platform. The Social Community Manager will represent the brand's voice, monitor conversations, and manage the daily operations of various social challenges.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead daily Newsroom stand ups to identify and capitalize on timely, relevant brand opportunities enabling an increase in trend-based reactive posting.
  • Create comprehensive social community strategies that build engagement, grow followers, and drive meaningful brand interactions across platforms
  • Research, create, and share POVs on updates to the ever-changing social media landscape as well as large cultural shifts or trends
  • Maintain consistent brand identity while adapting tone and approach to different platforms, audiences, and cultural moments
  • Monitor social trends, competitor activity, and platform changes to identify opportunities for brand engagement
  • Coordinate Cross-functional Execution and other stakeholders to ensure seamless social execution
  • Continue to refine and define our clients social media marketing process.
  • Conceptualize and develop timely, culturally relevant content optimized for specific platforms and audience segments
  • Initiate conversations, respond to comments, and create two-way dialogue that strengthens consumer relationships
  • Social listening for conversations, topics, trends that brands can engage in.
What you need to be great in this role:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management
  • Experience using analytical/social listening tools like Sprinklr for reporting and to gather insights
  • Experience growing and engaging a community and building a significant follower base on Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube
  • Passion for delivering on-brand and on-brief social communications
  • Pro-active planning and leadership of creative community initiative
  • Practical knowledge of how to manage social media channels especially with their intricacies
  • A thirst to learn more and to discover new and exciting trends within the social space
  • Ability to manage and filter workflow and prioritize workloads to maximize productivity.
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top-tier agency service
  • Ability to learn and understand consumer experience with clients products/services/promotions
  • Expertise in brand safety on social platforms
  • Strong structure and clarity to the creative process
  • Great sense of humor and creativity yet serious minded
  • Content creation skills (blogs, tweets, gifs, memes/other visuals)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to recognize superior design and maintain a consistent aesthetic
  • Excellent interpersonal and follow up skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods.
